This blog reports on the progress of Phoebe. Phoebe is my 6 year old dog, she is 3/4 Springer Spaniel and 1/4 Border Collie.
Phoebe was a fit and healthy dog, full of boundless energy until she took ill on 17th February 2007. She has been diagnosed with Immune Mediated Haemolytic Anaemia (IMHA - also known as Auto-immune Haemolytic Anaemia (AIHA)). IMHA is where the immune system attacks the red blood cells.

Phoebe had her weekly visit to the vets today. Her PCV was still around the 41% mark, which is brilliant! Her Vet has reduced her pred dosage to 7mg/day. Things are looking really good for Phoebe at the moment!
